Key Responsibilities:

About the Role

The Director of CHB Compliance reports to our VP of Corporate Administration and is responsible for overseeing all U.S. Import Brokerage Compliance activities, including interactions with Participating Government Agencies (PGAs). You will set national policies, lead compliance programs, conduct audits, and ensure full regulatory alignment across all LOGISTEED‑America branch locations. This is a key leadership role responsible for shaping our regulatory strategy, strengthening compliance practices, and guiding a high‑performing team across our U.S. operations.

This role requires strategic leadership, strong regulatory expertise, and the ability to partner effectively with branch managers, clients, internal stakeholders, and government agencies.

What You’ll Do

Compliance Leadership & Oversight

  • Customs Brokerage Management: Leading and overseeing all aspects of import brokerage compliance for our nationwide operations.
  • Regulatory Guidance & Training: Serving as the subject matter expert, providing essential support and training to branches and clients on evolving trade regulations.
  • Compliance Audits: Conducting and managing internal compliance audits, including FDA shadow audits, to ensure adherence to policies and minimize risk.
  • Post-Entry Filings: Reviewing and approving post-entry submissions such as Post Summary Corrections (PSC), Protests, and Prior Disclosures.
  • Policy Development: Setting and enforcing policies and procedures for a robust and compliant customs regulatory program.
  • Team Leadership: Managing a team of compliance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, and providing mentorship and guidance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) with a minimum of 15 years of customs brokerage experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, including tariff classification, valuation, and entry procedures.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Experience with Customs audits and compliance policy development.
  • FTZ experience is a strong plus.
  • Deep understanding of CBP and PGA regulations, CTPAT, and import compliance best practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Strong judgment, analytical skills, and decision‑making ability.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel for audits as needed.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
